Back from Insanity.....
I'm BAAAAAACCCCKKKKK!!!!! What a whirlwind tour it's been. Starting Weds. with an AWESOME Rush show, and ending this morning with a lucid mind, it was a very interesting alcohol influenced several days, with very little sleep and a whole lot of debauchery.
On a few hours sleep after the Rush concert, I got up Thurs. morning at 6 and drove to Lancaster to meet up with Hap and Jimmy C. to go on a 48 hour boat procurement/liver adjustment trip to Ocean Pines, MD, and Dewey Beach, DE. After watching Hap purchase a very schweet pontoon party boat from a semi-psycho dude who just HAD to show us, up close and personal, his 50 caliber handgun (we thought we were all going to DIE! - literally!), we shot up to the Dewster for 2 nights of craziness. A first night combined bar tab of over $250.00 for the 3 of us was a great start. All I can say is beware of the Zipperhead at Mama Maria's. After a quick recovery, the second night was a bit more mellow, with a trip to Taco Toss at the Lighthouse and then back to Mamamamamama Maria's. The dill thrill raised it's ugly head, as did a few Screaming Nazi's to toast HAP's birthday. We were well beyond "plaid" when we decided to head home for the night. I figured I could rest last night when I got home, but my boy Colin wanted to drink, and who was I to argue..... So I guess it's up to work to dry me out for a bit.
All in all, it was a well-deserved overdue binge, to quote J. Buffett. I'm missing my family, but it was very cool to get some guy time, especially with those characters. I feel refreshed, and ready to get back to my old ways.... But first, some XBOX football.
